Job Description:

Performs a variety of duties in support of the Commercial & Industrial Lending team in managing existing loan relationships and pursuing new loan opportunities.  Assures tasks are completed accurately, timely and professionally to ensure prompt and professional service to internal and external customers.    

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Support the Commercial & Industrial Lending team in managing existing loan relationships and pursuing new loan opportunities
  • In conjunction with Commercial Banking Officer, prepare loan documentation and coordinate closings, or work closely with Closing Attorney for proper loan documentation and funding
  • Build, scan, assemble and maintain all loan files in accordance with company procedures, processes, and standards and in accordance with company and Commercial Lending audit requirements
  • Orders and coordinates review of new and existing required due diligence items such as: credit reports, OFAC, appraisals, flood certificates, insurance certificates and/or binders, UCC, etc.
  • Responsible for reviewing the daily overdrafts report for C& I customers, coordinate transfer/deposit with customer and follow up with Account Officer about the decision before cut-off time
  • Work directly with commercial customers to assist with loan advances, general inquiries, account transfers, and problem resolution
  • Provide outstanding service to external business partners, legal counsel, appraisers, environmental consultants, insurance agencies, etc. while responding to inquiries, resolve problems and obtain documentation required to complete the fileWorking knowledge of loan policy and compliance issues including HMDA, CRA, Regulation B, OFAC and KYC/CIP
  • Demonstrate an understanding of all Banks systems and software applications that apply to the position.
  • Act as backup Administrator to the LaserPro system
  • Provide equally outstanding service to internal customers in various departments
  • Perform additional duties as requested, needed or assigned

Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles with prior experience applying accounting concepts strongly preferred
  • A minimum of two years’ experience in commercial lending and/or related capacity strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of general banking policies/procedures/regulations
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to become proficient in other Bank software programs
  • Highly self-motivated and able to work independently without close supervision
  • Ability to effectively work with colleagues and on multiple projects simultaneously, managing time and resources to ensure work is completed efficiently and within established timeframes
  • Ability to analyze and solve issues
