We’re looking for an experienced Product Marketing Manager to play a pivotal role in our brand’s evolution as we continue to grow, introduce new products, innovate service channels, and enter new markets.

 

 

Job Summary:   Primary responsibilities include managing and promoting the Bank’s products and services with the goal of increasing market share, name recognition and profitability. Create strategic marketing plans and develop and implement marketing programs for new and existing products and services that capitalize on business opportunities to target new and existing customer segments and markets.

 

  • Perform in-depth product market research and competitive analysis to build strategic plans that differentiate the Bank’s brand, products, and services within a crowded financial sector

  • Develop and implement product specific marketing plans which achieve stated objectives

  • Champion new product and service innovations; often leading internal product development teams

  • Develop recommendations for product feature requirements, pricing, and market positioning

  • Work cross-functionally throughout product marketing lifecycle to ensure initiatives are executed effectively

  • Work with other members of marketing team to create sales support materials, demos, and related creative

  • Use performance analytics to recommend most profitable course for existing and new products/services

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve any product complaints, issues, or laggard features

  • Continually research competitive landscape and create competitive analysis reports

  • Write copy for branded outbound, inbound, and sales-support creative

  • Analyze the Bank’s client data to identify revenue streams and cross-sell opportunities

  • Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual product performance reports

  • Work tirelessly to improve the customer’s product and service experience

  • Ensure product message and product user experience align properly with the brand

  • Major contributor to planning, development, and delivery of marketing campaigns and branded efforts

  • Key part of a marketing team that will develop and execute new concepts, pricing models, media channels, and bilateral partnerships to position the Bank as an innovator and market leader

  • Perform additional duties as requested, needed or assigned

 

 

Experience and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of product marketing and product development tactics
  • Proven experience in creating and successfully introducing new products and services
  • Proven performance in setting strategic direction and ability to manage multiple competing priorities
  • Ability to perform job functions independently or with limited supervision and work effectively either on own or as part of a team
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills

  • Capable of dealing calmly and professionally with numerous different personalities from diverse cultures at various levels within and outside of the Bank and demonstrate highest levels of customer service and discretion when dealing with the public

  • Excellent listening, verbal, written, and presentation communication skills

  • Ability to execute consumer and B2B marketing tactics in a financial setting
  • Excellent computer skills including MS Office skills; preference to Excel, Access skillsets, Internet, and internal bank software
  • Communicate effectively and clearly with a broad range of employees  across the organization, as well as external counterparts
  • Capable of exercising highest level of discretion on both internal and external confidential matters

  • Project a professional image to maintain credibility with customers and team members

  • Must comply with all Bank policies and procedures, and all applicable laws and regulations

  • Ability to adhere to Needham Bank’s Core Values (Quick-Decision Making, Reliability, Relationship-Based Focus & Quality Service)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or similar field; or equivalent work experience

  • 6+ years’ relevant experience in product marketing, brand management or related experience
  • Experience in market research; background in design and copywriting is a plus

  • Working knowledge of web analytics tools

  • Innovation and flexibility for meeting the demands of an ever-changing market
